My Role

As the WordPress Developer for this project, I played a key role in bringing the website design to life. I collaborated closely with the visual designers to ensure a seamless translation of their user-centric design into a functional and visually appealing website. My expertise in interaction design principles guided this collaboration, ensuring the website offered a smooth and intuitive user experience.

Target Audience

The target audience for the DIMO Bangladesh website included:

  • Construction companies: Looking for reliable equipment for excavation, demolition, and building projects.
  • Mining operations: Requiring heavy machinery for material extraction and processing.
  • Manufacturing facilities: Needing industrial equipment like lift trucks and air compressors.

Challenges

  • Catering to a diverse audience: The website needed to cater to various user needs within the construction and industrial sectors.
  • Technical product specifications: Presenting complex technical information about heavy machinery in an understandable way.
  • Highlighting after-sales service: Effectively communicating the value proposition of DIMO's comprehensive service network.

My Approach

  • Leveraging WordPress: I utilized WordPress, a popular content management system (CMS), to develop the website. This platform's user-friendly interface allows for easy content management by DIMO Bangladesh's internal team after the website's launch.
  • Building with Bootstrap: To achieve a responsive and mobile-friendly design, I implemented Bootstrap, a popular UI framework. Bootstrap provides pre-built components and styles, streamlining the development process and ensuring the website adapts seamlessly to different screen sizes.
  • Collaboration with Visual Designers: Throughout the design phase, I collaborated closely with the visual designers. My knowledge of interaction design principles helped bridge the gap between aesthetics and functionality. We iteratively refined the design to ensure a user-centric experience that aligned with DIMO's brand identity.
